VIEWPOINT 2025: Michael Sivigny, General Manager, CeTaQ Americas
While the struggle is real, CeTaQ Americas is cemented in our autonomous industry position as the authority on how to statistically measure and improve machine performance. We aim to educate OEM and end users on how to properly validate performance specifications for machine, process and specific customer requirements. From a quality improvement perspective, CeTaQ Americas offers a very unique way to adjust SMT equipment to enhance quality metrics such as DPMO, OEE, and FPY. Improving these metrics allow electronics manufacturing companies to reap additional efficiency, productivity and profitability which helps keep the doors open and people employed amidst economic pressures. CeTaQ Trends - Our expertise in electronics manufacturing is driven by training and education (PEOPLE), consulting and process optimization (PROCESS), and on-site measurement services (EQUIPMENT), ensuring autonomy and excellence in every aspect of our business and solutions. These three pillars run SMT lines and should continually be optimized. Industry Trends - Machine and process acceptance protocols are gaining steam to make sure the millions being spent on equipment are really ready for production. Simple purchase order contingencies protect the buyer and ensure equipment is ready for defect free manufacturing. Thank you to all of our service, training and product clients, we appreciate you and look forward to more growth in 2025! While we strive to help companies improve their bottom line profitability, we’ll continue to innovate. Our main focus this year will be a large software overhaul to bring in many new functionalities and simplify the user experience.
