Epoch ended 2023 on a downward trend, uncertain about what 2024 would bring amid global uncertainties. However, 2024 concluded with much stronger-than-anticipated growth. This success was not a result of hesitation but rather a bold decision to expand operations globally.

San Jose Operations:
The San Jose facility transitioned to a significantly larger space, accompanied by strategic procurement of advanced equipment to expand production capacity. The operation successfully penetrated new markets by securing a Medical Device Manufacturing License and ITAR certifications. Additionally, the facility received a commendation from the City of San Jose for its contributions to the technology industry and investment in San Jose, and the Free Trade Zone.

Bangalore Operations:
Epoch International's fully-owned entity in Bangalore, India, dedicated much of 2024 to comprehensive market analysis and mapping the Indian supply chain ecosystem. Additional staff were brought on board to strengthen support for the existing customer base. The company has now leased a large facility in JP Nagar, Bangalore, marking a significant step from its single-unit office. Operations and manufacturing functions are set to commence in January 2025.

Dalian Operations:
Epoch's flagship facility in Dalian, China, continued to push boundaries in operational excellence. The integration of UWB technology alongside RFID and barcode systems enhanced shop floor data collection. The facility also advanced its in-house automation systems, including First Article Inspection, and embarked on developing its first AI-driven AOI system, a project poised to deliver significant breakthroughs.

Additionally, Dalian's skilled supply chain team successfully reduced inflated inventory levels caused by pandemic-related disruptions, leveraging smart inventory management systems, including in-house-developed smart cabinets. The facility continued to play a pivotal role in supporting the expansion and growth of the San Jose and Bangalore operations.
In 2024, the Dalian team also made strides in the automotive market, receiving recognition from VW China to assist in designing AMR systems.

Transition to a Self-Managing Organization:
Epoch undertook a transformative restructuring, establishing autonomous cells that interact cohesively, mirroring the interconnectivity of human cells. These cells operate with shared goals and the autonomy to make independent decisions, fostering efficiency and innovation.

Looking Ahead:
Acknowledging ongoing global uncertainties, Epoch remains committed to leveraging the unique strengths of each facility. Through collaboration and strategic platform creation, Epoch aims to sustain growth and navigate challenges with resilience and adaptability.
